Uncertainty, fear, anxiety, these are quite common feelings in todays economic climate. Job loss, income reduction, illness, divorce are becoming all too common in the stories I hear when I talk to prospective sellers. Sellers owe more than the home is worth in the current market or they have depleted the savings and are now in fear of getting behind on their payments.
I get the calls and make the appointment, I go to the home and sit at a table or in a living room to hear the stories of frustration and can feel the hopelessness within the voices. Each individual relaying the tale that brought them to their current situation. Every situation, no matter the tail, ends with the same question "What can we do?"
What a powerful question when you are looking into the eyes of a young couple with the baby less than a year old, or an older person that was looking forward to retirement within the next few years. It makes no difference the person asking, the feelings are easily identified as the words are spoken.
But isn't that why they have called me? To give them options, or explain how they can get through this time without a foreclosure on their record? I will spend the time one on one explaining the options that lie before them. Making sure they understand and allowing them to choose the direction that they feel is best for their situation at this time.
Last week in speaking with Pastor Scott Grogg of the Middle River Church of God, many of these same stories had been told to him. The difference being that he can speak to easing their soul, making them feel more confident that there is hope, and then giving them my information to speak to their impending housing crisis.
Many just needed information, where to turn, what to do, what steps to take and others just wanted to know the consequences of just walking away. What are the ramifications of foreclosure, how long will this affect my credit, when will I be able to buy a new house? Is there another option?
To the last question, Yes there is! A short sale on your property could be a viable possibility to get you out of your current mortgage situation and get you, much more quickly, back on the road to financial recovery.
Getting information is the first step down the road to your financial well being. So we at LuckNet Real Estate Group, have teamed up with the Middle River Church of God to offer a free one hour information dissemenation session to be held at the Church for all who would like to see what options are available and if a short sale is right for you.
This Power Point Presentation will be conducted by our Certified Distressed Property Expert, Dan Grady. He will discuss your options to foreclosure and the differences between a short sale and foreclosure. After the presentation, we will be available to answer any questions you have about your particular situation.
If you, a family member, a friend, or someone you know is facing the possibility of foreclosure-tell them about this event. They will thank you for it!
For more information: you may contact me at 443-912-4866 or the Pastor Grogg at 410-391-2555.
